Wax Hair Removal

For our first-time guests, rest assured the treatments are provided by beauty therapists with more than 20 years of experience and know-how in waxing. We offer various designs based on each customer’s request.

Precautions before waxing
It is recommended that wax be applied at least one week after menstruation.
It’s time to get your skin in the best condition for waxing.
□ You cannot receive wax treatment during your period.
　Please note that wax hair removal is also not possible before and after suntanning.
□ Wax hair removal one week before and fter your period is NOT recommended.
　Changes in hormone balance in the one week before and after your period would make you more sensitive to pain than usual. In addition, closed hair roots would make hair difficult to remove, increasing susceptibility to “ingrown hair.”
□ Please do not shave or remove hair before coming in for treatment.
　Wax treatment is not possible unless hair is at least 3 mm long. Please make sure not to cut hair before treatment.
□ Please refrain from wax hair removal if you have had too much to drink or too little sleep on the day before your appointment.
　You will experience increased pain as a result of excessive drinking or lack of sleep on the day before the treatment. Please note that the level of pain would vary markedly depending on your physical condition.
Guests must take a shower before Brazilian wax treatment.
Please take a shower within 10 minutes. This will make it easier to receive the treatment both physically (sanitation-wise) and psychologically.
Our salon uses a “special Brazilian wax” that has been selected carefully based on our many years of experience. This special wax is available to only Shou Beauty SALON guests and members of membership salons. This wax offers less pain and burden on the skin. For other body parts as well, two types of waxes are supplied exclusively to Shou BEAUTY SALON through an agent contract.
Hygiene management is thorough, so please come with confidence.

Aftercare of wax removal
The skin will turn red after waxing regardless of body part. Although rare, some may experience swelling for one or two days after waxing. Please make sure to avoid scrubbing, akasuri (exfoliating body scrub), and hot water after the wax treatment.
Contraindications after wax epilation
□ Avoid tightening clothes as they become sensitive after waxing.
□ On the day, avoid bathing in the sauna or hot shower.
□ Do not sunbathe or tan within 24 hours.　
□ Do not use hard body towels or scrubs immediately after the treatment.
□ In the event of hair loss, do not self-process yourself.
Brazilian wax aftercare
□ After one week of wax hair removal, a body scrub should be performed once or twice a week to prevent hair loss.We also recommend cotton underwear.
□ Apply a moisturizing cream to avoid drying.
Next visit advice
□ If you are new to Brazilian wax for the first time, we recommend that you visit us a second time after 4 weeks.
□ After that, when the hair cycle stabilizes, you should come to the store 5 to 6 weeks later.
□ We recommend that you receive Brazilian wax about 7 to 10 days after the start of your period.
□ Those without menstruation will check the hair cycle after Brazilian wax, so please come after 4-5 weeks.
